A Complete Automotive Pixel Art Library for Games
I’ve created a collection of 300 original pixel-art vehicles, all built in a consistent side-view perspective, scale and visual style. The collection is designed for developers looking for a large, cohesive vehicle library for racing games, dealership and management games, car-collecting games, automotive simulators, and other vehicle-focused projects.
The collection represents more than 1,500 hours of original work, with all 300 vehicles created from scratch and designed to work together as one automotive universe.
What's Included
The 300 vehicles cover a broad range of automotive types:
- 16% economy
- 59% mid-priced
- 19% high-end performance/luxury
- 6% exotic/collector
Each vehicle includes a suggested fictional name, continent of origin and approximate era, allowing the collection to be used as the foundation for a game’s own fictional automotive universe.
The cars are inspired by real-world automotive design but are not officially licensed or endorsed by any automotive manufacturer, and no manufacturer branding is used.
Built for Game Development
The original artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator as vector artwork, allowing the vehicles to be exported at different resolutions and formats.
Available formats include:
- True-size 1px PNG
- Full-resolution PNG
- Vector source files
Each vehicle is layered into separate body, wheels, glass and detail elements, making it possible to easily change colors, replace wheels and modify individual components.
The wheel and wheel-arch areas use a half-pixel grid where appropriate, allowing additional detail while maintaining the overall pixel-art appearance.
The layered artwork can also serve as a starting point for animation, including wheel rotation and other vehicle animations.
What Can You Make With 300 Vehicles?
The collection can support many different types of vehicle-focused games, from racing and car-collecting games to management and simulation titles. One particularly interesting possibility is a used-car dealership management game, combining a large vehicle roster with buying, selling, trading, pricing, vehicle condition, mileage, repairs and business progression. With 300 vehicles ranging from everyday economy cars to rare and expensive collector vehicles, the collection could provide the foundation for a deep in-game economy and progression system.
The vehicles can also be adapted for different gameplay systems, including customization, rarity, collecting and trading. These are only examples of what could be built with the collection — the intention is not to prescribe a specific game, but to provide a large enough vehicle library to make many different concepts possible.
Commercial Licensing
The complete 300-vehicle collection is available for commercial licensing, with terms depending on the intended use, studio size and level of exclusivity.
Exclusive licensing is also available for studios looking to make the collection part of their own game universe.
I can also work directly with development teams on additional vehicles, modifications, variations and project-specific adaptations.
